i just noticed there are some extra pictures at the end, I have no idea what they are doing there but I don't feel like fixing it so enjoy them!
tests are all taken,
grades are all in.
It is so emotional,
I don't even know how to put it into words.
Happy.
Sad.
Relieved.
Exhausted.
I actually started crying when I left campus, it felt silly but it's all I could do.
I am so ready to have my life back.
To read for fun again,
to watch TV,
to read my Bible,
to decorate Lily's room,
to spend time doing normal things with my family!
Thanks to everyone who supported me, encouraged me and kept me going!
As I write this I cannot believe I have only 8 days and graduation will be over!
I have taken all my tests, I have 2 finals and some overdue paperwork to turn in and I am DONE!!!!! I need to make a 52 on my OB/Pediatrics final and a 48 on my Management final to pass, so I think I'm safe. I'm gonna review the stuff from the start of the semester that I probally forgot and that should be it.
I also volunteered to speak at my pinning and have started to develop some anxiety over that now that I have found out what the expectations are. I am supposed to be funny, thankful and serious all in 2 to 3 minutes. I am very nervous about this and want to be very careful about what I say. I am praying for the right words.
I probally won't post until after finals-need to be studying!
Wyatt: Yeah
Mom: Who did you like to play with?
Wyatt: J...what's her name
Mom: J....e
WYatt: Yeah and those other two girls, what their names?
Mom: G....and R....
Wyatt: Yeah ( with a huge grin)
Mom: I guess when you grow up you're going to be a ladies man
Wyatt: No, I'm gonna be SUPERMAN, he's for real !
The first is www.freerice.com my 11 year old is obsessed with this site. He can practice all types of school work while earning food to be fed to the poor. You can keep a tally of your rice earned and see how many people you have helped feed!
The second is www.goodsearch.com you just go there first before you do web searches chose your charity and search away. For each search you make they will donate 1 cent to your chosen charity. Now that could really add up!
Give them both a try, what a great and easy way to help others!
Sellers: "yeah"
Noah: " now they're trying to sell 'em to make your face smooth, that's dumb"
Just a little diddy overheard while they were watching T.V. and a razor commercial came on.

My favorite time of the year for Oh so many reasons...
for christmas music
the smell of a fresh cut Christmas tree
for having too many stockings for the fireplace
for all the fun fellowships and food
for our Saviors birth
for sitting in the dark with nothing but the Christmas tree on
for giving to others
for reminiscing over all the ornaments we've collected over the years
etc. etc. etc....

(several people have mentioned to me that they tried to leave a message and couldn't. I think I have adjusted the settings to make that possible so try again)
Years ago I remember flipping through a magazine and seeing an article about the abandoned girls in Ch*na. I can still see the photograph of a little girl laying on the sidewalk and everyone just walking by like she was no more important than the litter scattered around her. The image has always been there and that is probably the moment that I first thought about adopting from Ch*na. Fast forward a few years. John and I are married we have two healthy baby boys and I start to think about adopting that little girl in Ch*na again. Honestly, John wasn't for it or against it he just wasn't sure if he wanted more kids. Then we became pregnant and lost a little girl. That was so hard for me. I always dreamed of having a little girl and it was devastating to lose her. That stirred up in me the desire to have another child. I was scared to get pregnant again so naturally I thought of Ch*na again. I started to pray that if it was God's will for our daughter to come from Ch*na then he was going to have to work towards preparing John's heart for adoption. Without going into a lot of detail some things happened with John's job and the expense of adopting a child was no longer an option. Then as you know we got pregnant, again, twice and had two more amazing little boys. Our boys are everything and I love them more than anything in this world but the desire to have a daughter would not go away. I prayed for it to go away. Four children was enough, how could we possibly raise a fifth and how in the world would John ever go for that? Well that desire did not go away and little did I know it began to grow more strongly in John. As time went by I knew we had a daughter in Ch*na, I absolutely knew it. I strategically picked our anniversary trip to the mountains in July 2007 to talk about adopting to John. It was now or never. When I brought it up I was surprised when he said "let's do it". We knew the wait for a child was getting longer and didn't want to waste time. We went to an adoption seminar and was told the wait was currently 2 to 2 1/2 years. That was perfect. We gathered all the documents, got physicals, got fingerprinted and sent everything to Ch*na in December 2007. We were so excited! Well it didn't take long for me to realize that there was not going to be a 2 to 2 1/2 year wait for us, it was going to be MUCH longer! We are not sure why but there has been a major slow down in adoptions and we were facing a wait of possible 4-8 years. What??? I almost drove myself crazy on the Internet, reading peoples blogs, checking on how long it was taking. I became weary. We didn't want to wait that long, who wants to be 65 when there child graduates from high school? Well we knew we didn't. Our only options were to switch to another country or switch to the Special Needs list. After talking with my adoption agency we decided to switch to Russia. I felt uneasy about it but we proceeded anyway. After all the paperwork was done and we were about to send it in we went out to eat one night. When we walked in the door there were two little Asian girls sitting with there American family. It was in that moment that I knew without a doubt our daughter was in Ch*na. John and I talked about it and decided that we would not send our paperwork to Russia and we would wait on Ch*ina. At that point we starting to consider the Special Needs list. Every month our agency sends us a list of Special Needs kids who need a home. Every month we look at that list. Well on October 28 we got a new list. There was a little girl with a minor need but she was older than we had originally planned on . When we got the email with all her information and we first saw her face, we knew, this was her. This was the child God had planned for us. We quickly called our agency and requested to "lock her In". That means we have 48 hours to make a decision. I had prayed that if this was not our daughter for God to close the doors. No doors were closed, they were opened. You see God used our desire for a daughter to turn our hearts toward adoption and used the long wait to lead us to this child on the Special Needs list. Everything fell into place and we officially sent in our Letter of Intent (to adopt) on October 31, 2008. We had to wait for Ch*na to send us a Pre Approval (PA). We didn't tell anyone until we had PA from Ch*na. We received PA on November 13th. Now we wait again. We expect to go sometime in the next 3 to 7 months to Ch*na to get her. We don't expect everyone to understand what we are doing but we do ask for your support and prayers. This girls world is going to be turned upside down and even though she will have a better life it will still be hard for her for a while. I cannot post her picture because we are not allowed to per our agency. I am going to start a locked blog so that I can post pictures and details about everything in privacy. If you would like access to that blog please leave a post here with your email address and I will send you the password when the blog is started or just email me and I will email you back. Tonight I am praising God for this Blessing and Thanking him for opening our hearts to the gift of adoption.
It was the last time I had to put on my ugly MTC uniform.
It was the last time I had to drive to clinical (usually while still dark outside).
The last time I had to park in the "pit" at the hospital and walk 1/2 mile uphill in rain or cold or sweltering heat to get to the main building.
The last time I had to collect enough data to fill out my paperwork.
The last time I got to hang with my good friends whom I have really grown to care for :0(
I thought I would be giddy with excitement as I left the hospital but I felt weird.
My classmates asked me "what' wrong, you're not your usual self"?
I didn't know what to say. Maybe I am nervous about this ending and having to actually get a job. Maybe I just will miss the time I got to spend hanging out with these girls laughing and learning together. I can't say for certain but it was problably a little of both. Sad for it to end but ready for it too.
*That I am so happy I had my children before I had 18 hours worth of lectures about everything that could go wrong with mommy and baby.
*That blood does not bother me at all but vomit and poop (the grown up kind) I almost cannot handle. It takes everything I have to keep it together in front of my patient.
*That nursing is very rewarding and many patients will Thank You profusely for taking care of them.
*That most patients apologize to their nurse if the nurse has to do something that embarrasses them. (change a dirty brief, a dressing, empty a bedpan etc..)
*That it is so hard to keep a straight face when your patient "blows" you in the face while changing their brief.
*That I will never view my body the same again. Every little thing could potentially be something big (in other words I can see how nurses become hypochondriacs).
*That everyone will ask you for health advice and it's usually about something I know NOTHING about.
*That if you pretend you know what you're doing your patient will not get totally freaked out by having a nursing student for their nurse. And that some people love to have a student for a nurse because we are so cautious and spend time with our patients.
*That everyone thinks nurses make a ton of $$ but I think they are underpaid for how hard it is and how much you have to know and for how much responsibility you have.
*How to make perfect corners when making a bed.
*How to make a pillow when you cannot find extras on the floor out of pillowcases and towels.
*That sometimes all your patient wants is for someone to listen to them.
*That it is a very hard profession and I love it!

1. I did not take the dog to the vet today in the car, she did not vomit all in her kennel and when I went to get her out she did get it all over me and the car. I did not almost lose my breakfast all over the parking lot or speak a certain word that hasn't come out of my mouth in years. And I most certainly did not stay in the same clothes all day, even though I wiped the vomit off.
2. I also did not, no way stick my foot in my mouth after telling the guy who came to fix my front door that I should have just bought my door at Lowe's because it would probally already be installed properly and he certainly was not the General Manager of 84 Lumber where our door came from. John did not bother to tell me who he was, I thought he was just another guy trying to fix it like all the others!
3. I did not start getting some Christmas decorations out already, it is way too soon for that!
Let's not forget about Thanksgiving (right Tammi).
That is just a few of the things I did not do this past week.
I talked to the nurse manager, she has one opening on nights and already has 4 applicants. She told me to apply so I did. No idea if I will hear anything or not but I have my fingers crossed!
Finally last night he pulled it. He was so excited and of course he placed his tooth under his pillow. This morning he lifted up the pillow with excitement expecting to see some reward for pulling his tooth but instead all he saw was the tooth. Tears followed. Parents panicked. The Tooth Fairy forgot. The only thing John could think to say was "maybe she didn't want to come 'cause she was afraid of getting your virus". Now that's comforting. Tooth will go under the pillow again tonight and hopefully the Tooth Fairy will not forget and there will be no tears in the morning. And the Tooth Fairy feels so bad for forgetting she'll probably throw in some extra $.
Who's idea was this whole Tooth Fairy thing anyway? John and I figure by the time the Tooth Fairy pays for all our kids lost teeth she could have gone on a nice, relaxing vacation instead. But perhaps just the smile and delight in our child's face when she comes is worth it.
update* The tooth fairy came last night and there was one happy little boy this morning already planning what to do with the loot!

He was doing something on the couch he wasn't supposed to be doing and John told him to quit. Of course he did what any 2 year old would do, ignored him. John got up and went to remove him from the couch when Mason's arms flew up in the air and he looked right at John and yelled ever so toddlerish "stop sign". It took us a second to realize what he said and then we busted out laughing. So guess who thinks it's funny to yell "stop sign" now when you approach him?
Well I cheated. This is number 7, number 6 was a picture of just a classmate. I thought you would find this one much more interesting. This is my first clinical class in Nursing 101 in January of 2007. I was at the VA Hospital. I think back to how unconfident I was back then and really didn't know what I was doing. I mean it would take me all day just to do vitals, give a bath, change sheets and give meds to one patient. I became great friends with many of these folks and 3 of them will be graduating with me in December!
Rivers is a sweet little girl he goes to church with. I led that prayer because Wyatt doesn't really understand what her needs are. I started to pray for Wyndham but Wyatt jumped in and took over and led the prayer for Wyndham:
Dear God,
Please be with Wyndham. If he is sick make him feel better. Help him to be with his mommy and daddy. In your name we pray, Amen.
I had never heard him pray like that, I was amazed and proud that my little boy is learning at a young age that he can take his worries to God and go to him in prayer.
A few very exciting things happened for me today:
1. I purchased my Nursing Pin (this is sort of like getting a diploma for Nursing). It really helped it sink in that I am truly almost done!
2. I had a test today and made a very good grade! I like making good test grades so I don't have to study so hard for finals.
3. I got a new camera and lens for graduation (a little early, Thanks dear hubby!) I wish I had time to start learning all the info but I will take pictures on auto for now. Soon I will share some of the pictures I'm taking.
Ok, done bragging. I just want to share some positive things that have happened to me lately.
Not me Monday
I did not bake cookies for the family and "eat just one".
I did not in a moment of weakness give in and get a puppy for the boys.
I did not show my neighbor my house in a complete mess.
I did not just spend 45 minutes outside staring at a puppy just to see it tinkle or poop.
I did not throw my keys at John and tell him to wait in the car because he was being impatient with our waiter.
I did not spend 3 hours on my computer "playing" when I was supposed to be studying.
I did not go to church Sun. night dressed as SuperNurse (how cheesy).
I did not hit my children's minister on the head with a rolled up piece of paper without thinking. (sorry Charlie)
I did not get annoyed at plans being made without me.
Wow I didn't think I had this many things for Not Me Monday, I better stop before I reveal too much more...
Yes, John and I finally gave in and got the boys a puppy. She is the best (so far). She is a Cairn Terrier and is 4 months old. Our next door neighbors got one last week and I actually fell in love with it and I am not a huge dog fan. I started doing research and decided this dog would be a fit for us! I called the breeder but whoa! they are not cheap. I told her I did not think my husband would spend that kind of money on a dog but that I would talk to him. I did but we never really decided when I got a phone call back from her. She said she had one older puppy left from a previous litter and she could be ours for a very reasonable price (compared to the younger, newer puppies). I told her to reserve the puppy for us and I would talk to my husband. Well the boys pitched in some cash and agreed to spend less at the fair in order to pay for the puppy. So I called her back and I went to Pageland to pick her up yesterday. An older puppy has actually been a blessing. Still young enough to make our own but old enough to walk on a collar and slept all night last night :0). She has only had one accident too! She has the cutest personality and we all have taken to loving her quickly. Well the only exception to that would be Mason who would not get off the couch last night unless you were holding him and if she came walking towards him he would scream. Today is much better he was walking around but kept one eye on her at all times just in case! All the other little pets we got were OK but this little puppy is just what we needed. I don't know what I was so afraid of. Of course I hope I am still this upbeat a few months from now....
One funny: Wyatt came to me last night with a odd look on his face, mouth open and was attempting to spit something out of it. I asked him what was wrong and he managed to tell me that he had "tried" the dog food and it was nasty. So we had to wash his mouth out. I don't think he will do that again. It actually had not occurred to me that one of the little guys would try to eat it.

Noah goes on his first backpacking adventure this weekend with his Boy Scout Troop.
He is so excited and has packed and unpacked many times, getting it just right.
My instructions: If you get separated, stay in one spot so they can find you. I am a worry wart and do not want to be on the national news because my 11 year Boy Scout is lost in the mountains. I pray for Noah and his troop to have a safe and fun trip!
I wasn't going to be one of those moms who let there child have cookies for breakfast.
I wasn't going to be one of those moms who didn't make her child do their homework because she was too tired to deal with it.
I wasn't going to be one of those moms who lets their child go to school in dirty clothes that do not match.
I wasn't going to be one of those moms who let their child watch too much TV some days so she could have peace and quiet and get something done.
I wasn't going to be one of those moms that let the kids fend for themselves for dinner.
I wasn't going to be one of those moms that doesn't make her kids make their beds.
I wasn't going to be that mom.
But some days I am.
And I am OK with that.
W: This is a swimmin' guy (holding up a potato head with googles and flip flops on)
M: That's cool.
W: He's a old swimmin' guy
M: Oh like daddy (I just wanted to see what he would say)
W: Yeah, daddy is dying.
M: Why is daddy dying?
W: (no response, just looks at me)
M: What makes people die?
W: I don't know, snakes?...(pause) and raccoons, they wear that mask.
I don't remember what I said after that.
Is it just me, or is this kid so funny...
W: I'm drawing naked guys
M: Oh, why are you drawing naked guys?
W: I like naked guys.
M: Oh.
Well he left me speechless. Should I be worried? I am hoping it is just because it is just too hard for him to draw clothes yet. I mean a circle with legs and arms sticking out is much easier, right?
Only 5 more tests,
2 more finals,
1 paper,
1 presentation,
2 case studies,
11 more days of clinical,
and it will all be over.
Would I do it again? No way!
Am I glad I did? Absolutely, it is my calling.
In 77 days I will bid farewell to many friends, instructors and textbooks.
Not too many days after that I will enter the work force for the first time (full time) in 11 years.
I finally figured out what I wanted to be when I grow up, a nurse!
Sitting on the porch waiting on Sellers bus:
Wyatt: Mom when I grow up I want to be a fireman
Mom: That would be nice you could put out fires and save people
pause to think
Wyatt: I want to be a fireman when I grow up
Mom: When will you be grown up?
Wyatt: (pauses for a moment to think )Um, Tuesday. Is today Friday?
Mom: Today is Monday. Oh so you'll be grown up by Tuesday?
Wyatt: yeah
Out of the blue he starting saying this tonight when it starting getting dark.
Mom, is it dark enough for Christmas?
Not once, but many times he has asked this. Apparently I am not explaining well enough that Christmas is a while off.
Taking advantage of being out of town with no kiddos, John and I decided to go see this movie. I would encourage everyone to go see it. Some of the acting is not great but the message is awesome. Kirk Cameron plays a firefighter who is about to get divorced and his dad challenges him to the Love Dare to save his marriage. I won't spoil any of the movie because I hope you will go see it. And Ladies, if you had a crush on Kirk Cameron during his Growing Pains days he is still just as adorable! Go see this movie, it may just teach you how to "fireproof" your marriage!I have noticed lately on some of the blogs that I read that they put st*rs in place of letters, does anyone know why they do this?
First it started with a book.
Next, a few books.
Occasionally he would throw in a toy.
Tonight he wanted to put in a box of books, a doll, and a big ball blowing toy. I had to draw the line. No big ball blowing toy. How could you possibly get a good nights rest with that thing in there? This toy is almost as big as he is!
The difference in a boy vs a girl and a doll: (well at least my boy)
Girl: cradles it, rocks it, feeds it, dresses it, loves it!
Boy: bangs its head on the floor, throws it in the tub, squeezes it to death!
Wyatt: mom, you look like a princess (with the cutest grin on his face)
Mom: I do? Well thank you Wyatt that is so sweet.
Wyatt: When you drop me off at Sunday School I want you to be the one to pick me up.
Mom: Why?
Wyatt: 'Cause you look like a princess
Mom: OK of course I'll pick you up.
Wyatt, thanks for the boost of confidence just when I needed it.
I'd rather be in the palm of your hand

I don't know Allison Krauss or whether this song has some secret meaning but for me it is simple. It spoke to me about things I have been hearing from God for a long time, he just keeps trying to get my attention. OK God, I am listening and will keep on praying.
Oh come on, my child can't be the only one....
1. I am sick of the presidential race! (yes, already) And unfortunately I am married to an avid news watcher.I would rather not watch continuous coverage for months on end about something I have already made my mind up about.
2. Why are companies allowed to price gauge gas to increase it by $2 a gallon in mere hours? I refused to buy any and my car will stay parked right here in my driveway until it's cheaper. Unless of course it doesn't go back to normal. I don't absolutely have to go anywhere until Tues.
Oh actually three things...
3. The 2 tests, paper, case study and two data tools I have to due by September 30th.
I guess I shouldn't be wasting time blogging........
Lately I am forgetting a lot of things. I write them in my calendar but guess what? I forget to look in my calendar.
Child: Mom, there's this girl that always says hey to me at carpool. She says she know me from somewhere but I don't know where.
Mom: What's her name?
Child: I don't know.
Mom: Why don't you go up to her and ask her, her name and where she knows you from.
Child: I can't do that. Mom, these days girls travel in packs. You can't just walk up to one and talk to her. She's in a pack. (that just cracked me up!).
Then he went on to tell me about how Zack Efron in High School Musical said yada, yada, yada.
I hear about these kind of movie stories frequently. Honestly I tune them out. Who cares what Zack says, right? Anyway I thought the thing about girls traveling in packs was funny.
I've been back in for my LAST semester for about 3 weeks. I am taking a Management Class and advanced OB and Pediatrics. Right now I am in clinical at Providence on 4 Heart. My instructor is awesome, very laid back. She is great about letting us do things on our own since we are only months away from practicing as RN'S! Most of our patients are post heart cath who have had to get stents for blockages. We do a lot of discharge which is great because I need the practice. Teaching is something nurses do a lot of and when discharging a patient you have to do a lot of teaching. It is So important. In October I will do my clinicals at Richland for OB and Peds. I am so excited about seeing the new children's hospital. It is in my top three places to work when I graduate so I am excited about seeing it and having clinical there. Many people ask me what I want to do when I graduate and honestly I don't know for sure, yet. I am interested in cardiac nursing, newborn nursery, pediatrics and there is this little part of me that would like to try the ER. I love the ER because you get to see the patient in the beginning before they are stable and when the doctors are often trying to figure out what is going on. It is often like putting a puzzle together. The only thing that worries me is trauma. I am not sure if I could handle very serious trauma cases. I have seen a gunshot victim and a fall victim and they were not very serious so I don't know what it would be like to have a real serious case. It sort of scares me but at the same time interests me. I hopefully will know what to do soon because in a few short months it will be time to apply for jobs. I just pray that I will end up somewhere where I can be happy and make a difference in someone's life. On December 17th I will be pinned (nursing for graduate) and then I will have to take the Board Liscensing Exam (NCLEX) and pass in order to practice nursing. I am so excited about finishing!!!!
.
Wyatt: I'm a big boy momma.
Mom: yeah, you are a big boy
Wyatt: I want to grow to be 4 feet tall like daddy, he's big.
Mom: Yeah, you will grow to be like daddy. (6 feet not 4)
30 seconds later...
Wyatt: (mumbling the names of superheroes to himself) Mom, who are all the good guys?
Mom: Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Robin, the Hulk, Jesus, Daddy, Papa, Poppy. They are all good guys.
Wyatt: They kill the monsters?
Mom: They take care of the bad guys.
30 seconds later...
Wyatt: Are there monsters in my room mama?
Mom: No Wyatt. Monsters are not real. They are pretend like in stories.
Wyatt: No monsters are gonna get me?
Mom: No Wyatt there are no Monsters!
Walking in the door...
Wyatt: Are there snakes in our jungle momma? ( we have woods behind our house and he calls it the jungle-it took a lot to convince him that our jungle did not have tigers in it)
Mom: Yeah, there are probally snakes in our jungle.
Wyatt: Snakes have teeth. ( something he has just learned) I don't see no snakes in our jungle.
Mom: They are probally hiding.
1. I sleep with 2 personal fans on at night. I cannot stand to hear little noises, even John breathing!
2. I will not hang my clothes up. They are always draped over something like a closet rod, chair, bed, tub, etc. Every few days (or weeks!) I take the time to hang them up.
3. I cannot use bar soap, it makes me feel sticky so I use the body wash.
4. I absolutely have to read before I go to bed. If I don't I will not be able to fall asleep and will lay awake for a long time.
5. I have to sit facing the entrance of a restaurant at a table, if my back is facing the entrance it drives me nuts.
6. I forget things a lot. I make lists a lot. I lose my lists a lot. So then I forget things and write more lists and then can't find the list. The result of this is that I have to go to a store almost everyday to get the things I forgot. It drives me crazy because I would really like to go to the store once or twice but that rarely happens! Recently I walked into Target with a list. Had it for about the first 10 minutes then suddenly it disappeared. I looked for it for 15 minutes, retracing my steps. No list. I went to customer service. No list and I think the girl thought I was crazy to come to customer service and ask if anyone turned in my list. I tried to remember everything but to no avail I didn't and two more trips to get those items followed.
John on our rafting trip. Picture was taken through a plastic bag to protect my camera, which didn't work real well when I got soaked by the 45 degree absolutely freezing water!
One day we played in the river the whole day, it was probally the most fun the boys had and it was free!
Adoption: This topic is a tough one. Adoptions in China are a mess. At times I wonder if it will ever happen. Things are getter tougher for adoptions to go through and the wait time is getting longer and longer. It realistically could be five years and well that puts us in our 40's starting over yet again. I don't know what is going to happen with the adoption, it is a total leap of faith and I am learning about patience in a whole new way. I just pray for things to change or for God to give a clear sign if we are do something different.
The Boys: Noah and Sellers are doing good and had a great time at church camp (non FBC). Wyatt is so active and our little daredevil. He thinks he can do anything and says he is already a grown up! Mason is finally talking well and was using the potty alot but has sort of lost interest in it lately. These guys keep us very busy but we love it!
Next week : VACATION!!!!
Mason has always called john and I both mama. Now I try not to take it personal but we have tried and tried to get him to call John dad and he doesn't. If you ask him who mama is he will point to me. Ask him who dada is and he will point to John but if he wants something he will look right at John and say "mama, gaga". I give up.
She says its time to plan our twenty year high school reunion.
No way, twenty years. I knew it was coming but still hard to believe.
It's not that high school doesn't feel so long ago because it does.
So many things forgotten, classmates, teachers, how to speak Spanish.
It's just hard for me to accept that I am old enough to be out for twenty years.
I don't feel that I am possibly old enough to say
"My name is Jennifer and I graduated from high school in 1989".
Scuffs on the wall.
Dents in the floors.
Poop on the carpet (not once but three times).
Black spray paint on the garage floor, door and wall.
Plastic toys littering the lawn.
It didn't take long for us to break this house in.
It's hard not to get upset but after all it is just a house even if it is new.
Soon we will just have that old house charm that we have always loved.

Some would gather roses,
And rest from wordly strife.
But I would gather children
From among the thorns of sin,
I would seek a golden curl,
And a freckled toothless grin.
For money cannot enter,
In that land of endless day,
And roses that are gathered
Soon will wilt along the way.
But oh, the laughing children,
As I cross the sunset sea,
And the gates swing wide to heaven,
I can take them in with me!
I stumbled onto this poem on a blog of a family who recently adopted a child. There are times I wish I could gather children from around the world and take care of them. There are millions of orphans in the world and if only 7% of Christians in the world adopted a child there would be no more orphans. What an awesome thought. For every child in the world to have a home and parents, love and food. No child left alone, crying with no one to love or hold them. God calls christians to care for orphans, but why don't we care more? Why don't more of us do something to help? It has definitely been pressed on my heart to do something. I don't know exactly what yet (besides adopting one day from China hopefully) but I have been praying about it. I am excited about the possibilities of what it may be. I anxiously wait, knowing that God has the perfect plan for me.
Wyatt: Mom, what's the magic word to get an orange?
Mom: (smiling and thinking about it)
Wyatt: Hocus Pocus?
Mom: Hocus Pocus? No. ( It is so hard to resist when they are this cute!)
Wyatt: What is the magic word?
Mom: Well, if you want an orange the magic words are, Mom is pretty (I decided I don't hear that enough)
Wyatt: Ok . Mom is pretty. ( and of course I give him an orange, not without the other boys noticing of course)
5 minutes later
Wyatt: What's the magic word to get another orange, Hocus Pocus?
How can I resist? I gave him another orange. That kid knows how to get to me.
Got the word, we are in! Now for the fun part, moving our stuff again.
Meet our Bunch!
